Creating Dishes has an easy, moist, no-fuss banana bread with no added sugar. This banana bread gets its flavour and sweetness from using overripe bananas. You can use overripe bananas that have been frozen; just defrost the bananas, and you’re good to go!

Line with baking paper or grease a 24 x 13 x 6.5 cm loaf tin.

Preheat oven to 180°C

In a large bowl, add bananas. Mash the bananas with a fork.

Add vanilla essence, nutmeg, cinnamon and eggs, whisk to combine.

Add milk to the batter and whisk to combine.

✅ Quick Tips: Read the recipe in its entirety before you start cooking. This will help you understand the ingredients, steps, and timing involved, and allow you to prepare any necessary equipment or ingredients beforehand.

Sift self-raising flour into the batter, stir with a spatula until just combined.

Add coconut oil to the batter and flour mixture and stir until combined.

Pour the banana bread mixture into the lined loaf tin.

Place in the oven for 40 -50 minutes. Insert a toothpick in the centre of the banana bread. If it comes out clean, it’s cooked.

Enjoy!
